As the Roy Orbison song goes '... it's over... it's over... it's oooovvveeerrr..'!

The MYFM 10k song of the day giveaway is now officially over! Yesterday was the LAST day :( sniff, sniff.

I was dreaming and hoping but alas I gave it a good effort. I got through a total of "2" times during the past few weeks. I even thought the last time, "wow, I got through awefully quick, could it be, nawwww". And I wasn't :(.

Here is to more cash contest prizes!

I really am speechless. No, not really. But they are changing up the morning people like they just have no clue that their organization is the problem not the people... I want radio back the way it was over 15 years ago. More free form, less constricted to format.

Quick, but I guess I have seen it happen quicker. I think Valentine is going to take over Charlie Tuna's role over at KBIG 104.3. Hmmm. Pretty sad, that they can't find something else to do besides swap out people.

BLOG: The Hills of Los Angeles are Burning

In between coughing fits today, I was able to control them long enough to look outside my office building and see this. This is actually the oppossite side of the mountain, but you get the idea.

Yes, the Hollywood Hillside near Forest Lawn was on F-I-R-E. There it was, a nice, big, dark plume of smoke engulfing most of the hillside around 2:30pm today. Luckily, it appeared to be in an area that did not have many homes.

Although, some of the major Los Angeles radio stations were down the street (well, actually, alot... mostly Clear Channels conglomerate stations located at Olive Ave)... they appeared to outside the ring of fire.

Down, down, down, and the flames went higher.... burn, burn, burn, that ring of fire, that ring of fire... yeah!

KYSR has done it again. Read here for more details.

It seems Richard Blade is now out the door of Star 98.7 too.

Too many changes over the past few years. Not liking Stars choices lately.

Sorry to see you go Richard!
